Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive the SIM card?

You will receive the SIM card when you meet our driver at the beginning of the trip. It could be at Denpasar Airport (if you have chosen to be picked up there) or your hotel lobby.

How do I activate the SIM card?

The new SIM Card Registration Act requires local ID number which makes it difficult for foreigners to activate SIM cards by themselves. To save you from headache, we will activate the card prior to meeting with our driver.

If the data depletes, how can I do a top-up?

You can come to typical small Balinese phone shops that usually have a sign or banner saying “Jual Pulsa.” Otherwise if you’re still traveling with our driver by the time you need the top-up, we can do a refill for you at cheaper rate (IDR 60,000 for another 10GB)

Can you elaborate more about the free Anynet call?

Anynet means any other Indonesian mobile carriers (Telkomsel, Indosat, Axis, Smartfren) as well as landline numbers typically used by companies and institutions. This way you don’t have to purchase additional plan just to make a call to your friends, accommodations or even the driver.

What about the 2GB data in main tourist area?

If you are staying around Denpasar, Sanur, main part of Ubud, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua, your SIM card will automatically use the 2GB allocation after the regular data (6GB) depletes.

Is this suitable for personal hotspot?

Yes, although you’d still have to wary of auto update features in your phones. To save data, we recommend that you choose “Do not auto update apps.”
